School Holiday Specials – Spring Half-Term 2024
Family Rate for 3 x 20 Minute Sessions
The Race Centre is once again holding the ever-popular School Holiday Special Sessions. These events are for groups with “drivers” aged 8 to 17.
All drivers will be hotlapping together around our Track of the Month, which for February will be the 1976 layout of Kyalami circuit in South Africa!
Every month, 4 cars are chosen for driving on the track. You can check the News Blog post to find out which cars have been selected. These cars belong to different classes, starting from the beginner Class D to the expert Class A.
When you join The Race Centre as a new driver, you’ll start as a Class D driver. At the end of each month, the driver with the fastest lap time in each class gets promoted to the next class up.
During the School Holiday Sessions, you will get to drive the car that corresponds to your current class.
All lap times and full telemetry are available to view online to easily compare with friends and rivals!
All drivers get to enjoy the 3 x 20-minute sessions specially discounted from the normal adult rate. That means just £18pp at Southampton (Chandler’s Ford Central Precinct) and £10pp at Halifax (Electric Bowl).
The typical time spent at the venue is about 90 minutes. Bookings are capped at a maximum of 10 drivers per session.
Mum, Dad, Carers, or other supervising adults are welcome to join in too at the discounted rate (when attending with Under 18’s!).

Note: These sessions are for drivers to have fun chasing their best lap times. They are not for smash-and-crash. Please do alert us if you encounter drivers not being respectful on track. This helps us to ensure everyone has a good time.
The minimum driver height is 135cm (This typically means 8 years+). However, children younger or shorter than this can still participate if happy to sit on their parent’s lap. Simply book as the assisting adult. There’s no need to pay for both of you if the parent is simply helping with the pedals.
