Have a look at this flying lap of Albert Park by hometown hero Mark Webber.

40 years of Williams in F1

The start of the 2017 season coincides with Williams’ 40th anniversary in Formula 1. Based out of Oxfordshire in the UK and founded under stewardship of the legendary duo of Frank Williams and Patrick Head, the team has been one of the most iconic and successful in the history of the sport.

During their 40 years in Formula 1, Williams have claimed 7 World Drivers’ Championships, as well as 9 World Constructor’s Championships, second only to Italian powerhouses Ferrari.

While recent achievement hasn’t quite lived up to the legacy of the teams’ dominance in the 1990’s, this years driver line-up of Brazilian veteran Felipe Massa and Canadian youngster Lance Stroll, both combined with the new FW40 chassis means Williams are hoping on bringing silverware back to the factory in Grove this season.
